Unity (Pretoria) ft Oupa Makhubela & Operation Khataza with Fred Spyder

n 1981, Unity, a new South African band, is making waves with their album Erube Jambo. Produced by the team of Van Blerk/Roos & Greg Cutler, it features succulent voices and melodies, psychedelic Moog, Hohner clavinet and Fender Rhodes, all surrounded by Afro-folky guitars.

More than 40 years later, Voom Voom Records reissued this incredible album and offered Poy-Poy Makhubela (The band leader) the opportunity to reform a band! 

Poy-Poy has been playing with Brenda Fassie, Don Laka and even Boom Shaka or Trompies.

Fred “Voom Voom” Spider has been touring all around the world and played with some of the greatest dj’s, he will take the turntables and make you shake your booty with his unique blend of grooves from jazz, Afro, funk to Latin or reggae.
