Join us for an intimate evening on a Women’s day with Sama Yoyo, a South African vocalist and multidisciplinary storyteller whose work moves fluidly between song, theatre and poetic reflection. Through immersive performances that blur the boundaries between concert, ceremony and storytelling, Sama creates spaces for deep listening and shared reflection.

Drawing on themes of memory, belonging, grief, hope and the enduring search for home, her work invites audiences into landscapes where silence carries meaning, voices become architecture, and personal stories resonate with collective experience.

In dialogue with Iziko’s exploration of memory, identity and freedom, Sama’s performance offers an opportunity to reflect on not only where we come from, but how we choose to remember, see and become.

Currently developing her original multidisciplinary work, Dear Dreamer, Sama continues to create art that lingers long after the final note, grounded in the belief that while politics belongs to its time, art has the capacity to outlive it.
