SUMMARY:Umuthiomkhulu Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:Umuthiomkhulu Ensemble is a South African based Spiritual Ensemble with over 4 years’ experience in African Spiritual Music. They already did 2 Cape Town Tours and 1 in Johannesburg. The Ensemble is led by the South African Young Trombonist Mthimkhulu Stuurman.He was influenced by Dr Johnny Mekoa who introduced him to Jazz Music and was later inspired by Malcolm Jiyane. \n\n\n\nMthimkhulu’s love for African Spiritual Jazz is from his belief in Ancestors.  He has worked with majority of South African and International Musicians\, including Dr Johnny Mekoa (RSA)\, Prince Lengoasa (RSA)\, Mthunzi Mvubu (RSA)\, The Spam All Stars (USA)\, The Temptations (USA)\, Luyolo Lenga (RSA)\, Dj Ed Noodles (EUR)\, Imbewu Marimba Community Ensemble (RSA) and The Amazing Thailand Band\, Koh Mr Saxman (Thailand) &Alexander Beets. \n\n\n\nHe has performed at The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz\, U.S Embassy\, German Embassy\, Gaborone Convention Centre (Botswana)\, AfrikaBurn\, Johannesburg Expo Centre\, Gallery MOMO\, Selective Live\, The Commons (Muizenburg)\, Athletic Club & Social\, MOJO Market\, Gorgeous George\, The Touch of Madness\, Primeactive\, Gugasthebe\, Joburg Theatre\, Market Theatre\, Sandton Convention Centre\, Emperors Palace\, Birchwood Hotel. \n\n\n\nMthimkhulu has worked on projects titled Bass Sings\, African Jazz Hound\, Gcina Mashiyane and Friends\, Atom and the Voids\, Emo Boys\, Afro Related\, Tumelo Shaq\, The Moors\, Sadaam Oppie\,L8 Antique and Kujenga. \n\n\n\nHe is currently working on his debut album titled “Imithandazo Yethu” \n\n\n\nDoors Open at 5 pmticket link in bio!!!
