DESCRIPTION:Odwa Bongo at Selective Live \n\n\n\n\n\nOdwa Bongo is a South African contemporary uHadi instrumentalist and vocalist. His sound is influenced by Simphiwe Dana’s vocal style & raw traditional isiXhosa music. In 2012\, the Drakensberg Boys Choir alumnus was announced the Standard Bank Schools Big Band vocalist at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival. His talent and love for his culture landed him a feature on SABC’s Youth Culture documentary series. Acknowledged as one of South Africa´s top LGBTQI+ creatives by Celebrity Services Africa\, Bongo collaborated with South Africa’s top artists including the late Dr. Madosini\, Camagwini\, Thandeka Mfinyongo\, Morena Leraba & Koleka Putuma. The star´s most recent and notable performancewas an invite\, from the director of the City of Joburg Arts\, Culture & Heritage\, to commemorate the life of Prof. Robert Sobukwe. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nDoors open at 18h00
